Tatyana Kurmanova

My paintings are a dialogue between light and texture, created for modern interiors.

Biography

An artist from Kazakhstan, based in Aktau, had long perceived painting as only a hobby, believing that art could not become a stable source of income. Together with her husband, she developed a family business, and once it achieved success, she gained more freedom to fully dedicate herself to the creativity her soul had always longed for.

At the beginning of 2025, she set up a home studio, which gave her the opportunity to create at any moment.

Her works are interior paintings made in the technique of bas-relief and acrylic painting. Her pursuit of volume and texture became the key to her artistic exploration: from experimenting with oil and acrylics, she turned to texture paste and plaster, which give her paintings depth and a contemporary sound.

The themes of her works are the sea, animals, and birds — images that connect the viewer with nature and restore a sense of harmony. Today, the artist is actively developing her art, taking part in online galleries, and preparing for offline exhibitions.
